Edward Clarke Wykes was a tailor and draper in the town of Daventry, Northamptonshire in the second half years of the 19th century. He was born in 1844 and died in 1919. He married Catherine Taylor in 1868 and they had eight children. He was Mayor of Daventry from 1895 to 1903. The pictures below were obviously taken while he was in office, as he is wearing the mayoral chain.
