A member of the Weeks family, my brother's Y DNA [traceable father to son] placed him in the G2 haplogroup, among which were Knights sent to England by Rome to guard Hadrians Wall. Any other Weeks/Wykes done a Y chromosome test?

Hi there. I am Harry's little sister. He enjoyed this site so much, and the friends he made through it. It is great to see it continuing. Thanks to all who are making this happen. With best regards from all of Harry's Wykes's. Nance

Hello Nance, It is good to read your comments. I wonder if any of your family would be interested in the current DNA research mentioned in the forum?

I have been checking through the master index file, and have found a problem. William Wykes (b 1680) who married Dorothy Goodman in 1712 is given as the son of William Wykes who died in 1667. It appears there is a missing generation. Does anyone have any more information about this?

I was very pleasantly surprised to find this website. I live in Augusta, Georgia, where there is sizable family of Weekses. I have traced my ancestry back to the area of Devon in England, but have hit a dead end.
