Would you believe it. I type my name (unusual I thought) into a serch engine and there's Tom Wykes staring back at me. If any one is interested, My father was a rancher in South America, his father, a man of the cloth, was a Cannon of Durham Cathedral.

Here is a new spelling. Their are not lot of us, that I know of, in the USA. I have always been told that the name is Dutch and means a part of a city. I have seen your spelling plenty of times in my life. My father's father's came to the US from England.

Hi, I saw your family tree with William Hutchings on it. I've just aquired a photo of William Hutchings from 1865. He was one of the last four survivers of the Revolution. If anyone is related and would would like a graphic of the photo, I would be happy to scan it. Cheers, - Steve Thoemke sthoemke@nermal.santarosa.edu

Amazing! I always thought we were lonely souls on the planet. My g/fathers sister Rose Wykes went to South Africa in the late 1940's. Married Harold Smith. Anybody have any South African contacts? Nice meeting you all.
