What an interesting find your site is. In researching my husbands tree, we have found that our origins begin with a marriage certificate 1855, Tavistock, Devon for Thomas Weeks and Jane Hill. We are therefore not really able to link into any of your families directly. However, the detail you offer regarding the name and its variations is mindblowing - so shall have to revise my view of our Tree and who we might be. Thank you so much for your work and its detail

Hi there Have just found this site and am amazed! Have been doing my family tree and would appreciate any information on the roots of Thomas Wicks (my great grandfather) born 24 June 1841 in Berkshire. He married Ellen James on 13 May 1863 at Oxford. He was the son of John Wicks b 17/7/1803 and Sarah Broughton of Baldon Oxfordshire. They emigrated to New Zealand in 1875 on the 'Edwin Fox'. The information I am seeking is the birthplace of Thomas and John and any info on Sarah. I am hoping to visit their bithplaces if I can get this info Thanks Laurie W.

Please say a prayer for Earl Edward Weeks, for which none of his line seems to be posted yet. He has had major heart surgery, for which few survive, from a problem with the aorta. I will post his line soon. Family moved West to Washington State, from Indiana, North Carolina, MA, England.

Help; Just received a new computer from my children for Christmas. My son in law came in to set everything up, however, on this site my password does not work, and it has been so long that I have been a member, and have not had to sign in my password, I stupidly forgot what it was......and.....can't get into the Forum. Guess you will have to e-mail me and either tell me what it was, or tell me how to enter a new password. I hope you all had a Merry Christmas....(I did with all my kids and grandchildren 16 Total people); and a Happy; Pleasant; and Hopefully a Peacfull New Years. Randy

As I said, I have been a forum member for at least 8 years......please check with the others. I have also supplied a lot of information to this web site. I just got a new computer and or something happened on your site where my password will not be accepted, and or lost....and I don't remember what it was. Please correct the problem so that I can get back in....unless of course you are closing the site down because of Harry. Rohnda or David might be taking over ??? Thanks....Randy Weeks

Happy new year everyone. My maiden name is Wykes and I was born and still live in Nottingham. Unfortunately, I know nothing about my paternal family as my father died when I was three and we have lost contact with them. My fathers name was Reg Wykes and I am told he chose my name. If there is anyone out there who knows more I am eager to hear from them.
