|I started trying to research my husband's family name for a project my son had in school. We need a picture of the WIX coat of arms for the project & some history. I have truly enjoyed your website.

Am trying to find out more info on my GGgrandfather, Thomas Wicks, born about 1832 in Castle-Acre, Norfolk. He married Jane Poole in Wiltshire in 1858. He was a teacher attached to the Army and was in South Africa and India as far as I know. Any help greatly appreciated.

A great site, think I will have to join your forums. On the Wicks side of the family we have traced back to Humphrey Wicks bc1640 marrying Anne Malcott in London 23 May 1667 my 8xgreat grandfather. On my fathers, mothers side we have traced back to the time of William the Conqueror and theScottish RoyaFamily, but seem to have hit a dead wall with the Wicksies for the moment
