I'm a Weekes, rather than a Wykes, but have been intrigued by your site. It's very well researched and nicely laid out... well done! If there are other Weekes's out there, I'd be interested in contacting them. My family have been in New Zealand for the last 140 or so years, but prior to that from England.

I was taught to horse back ride by a Dr. Wykes. He was in Singapore when it fell to the Japanese. He had his practice in Wood House Eaves. Leics. I would love to find out what happened to him and his family. I last saw him when I was about 13 - 15! About 1952 to 1954. Thanks, I enjoyed this site very much - reminded me I am from England.

Hi Harry, This is a wonderful site. My wife and I are trying to get back to all of Britain. Maybe next year. The Texas Wykes are very famous in America. Best wishes, Ken Lamb
