Hi Harry! I am really excited about your site! You have done a great job. I was fascinated as I read the history of the name to find first names common in our branch

It was certainly a shock to hear about this web page, and that there are that many Wykes' worldwide and at home in the UK!

I recently changed my name to Wykes after my marriage to Earl Wykes and am still getting use to everyone asking me twice when I say it, normally have to spell it everytime. I will show my In-laws this as I'm sure Earl's father would be very interested, thank you.

I have checked your web page and recognize several Wykes entries. Some I have contacted previously and apparently are not the same family lineage. Namely Charles John Wykes. I am happy to have a site to work with....Thank you.

Just received your e-mail message. Interesting site, I'll let my Dad know as he's got an old family bible with a family tree in. Might be some distant cousins reading this :-)

In my family, we always use to say that if your last name was Wykes and you lived in Canada, we knew you. Were we wrong! By the way, Harry was my Grandfather's name. He came to Canada from England in the early 1900's.
