I am descended from Frederick Wick/Wix whose daughter Eliza Love Wick married Charles Barnard in Southwark, Surrey, about 1830. Their daughter Eliza Barnard came to Victoria, Australia, and married John Hawkins about 1854.

Fascinating...excellent site. Do you know anything about the family crest we discovered? It is on our home page at www.geocities.com/EnchantedForest/Tower/7163.

Greetings from Toronto, Canada. My family came from the Quorn/Mountsorrel/Barrow-upon-Soar area. I have found my great grandfather (Albert Wykes, born 1861) and his father (Thomas Wykes, born 1833) but am stuck there. Anyone know of brothers or sisters of these people or their forefathers?

Dan Schlafer, husband of Virginia may have been related to me. I live in Walton, NY, which is very close to where Dan was born. My Great Grandfather's name was Dan.

Great website! I would love to hear from anyone researching Phillip Weeks born 1750 in Bristol, Eng (his brother is Sir John Trevilian Ceely Weeks) who immigrated to Maine in 1780. He married Martha Hodgkins.
