So wonderfully surprised to find such a link for the difficult name I have been working on for years. Perhaps not my Wix family, but then one never knows where information leads, Thank you.

Hi Harry, My family is from Virginia. Carroll, Floyd, mostly. Just wondering if you have information on Willie Weeks who married Emma Turman in Virginia. They were my grandparents. Thank you so much!

Hello from the USA. My grandparents and their siblings were dairy farmers in Saranac (central) MIchigan. I'm proud to be named after Kings of England and bear the surname. Happy to chat or correspond anytime. Thank You for putting this site together!

Have found the history of the Wykes Descendants to be so fascinating going back to England. I married into the Wykes Family in Australia back in 1978 at Dubbo,New South Wales. Lived in three states in Australia originally from Tasmania now working in Queensland, but have a residence in Laurieton, New South Wales. Hope to catch with relatives in UK in the coming years,as my sons live in Scotland atm.

Further to my previous comments about the Wykes Family descendants [James & Susan Wykes ] from Lutton & Wainfleet in Lincolnshire UK. both 28yrs of age who immigrated to Australia back in 1852 Would their be any families in that area now, who could contact me as I have ties to them. ** Parents of James was also James & Mary Wykes from Creaton, Northants in UK [ James was born - 1784 & Mary 1787 ]. Hope to hear from any relatives !!!

Thanks for your reply - Harry Wykes in UK. You have done a wonderful job with the WYKES ANCESTORY over such a long period from 11th century.I have found it to be just incredible information you can get from the Website. I live in Australia & my ancestor's on my side of the family came from UK back in 1830's to Tasmania as free settlers & with our family tree goes back 1050's - "William the Conqueror" period. Originally from County of Kent & been to several villages in the region to see gravestones & house dating back to the 1600's Keep up the great work !
